Now that summer is well underway, we want to remind you of upcoming health and wellness events in the Bay Area. Summer is a great time to get involved in the community, and doing so can help you, your business and your employees establish healthy habits through the rest of the year.
Local health and wellness events are also great sponsorship opportunities for your business. The benefit is twofold. First, you can promote your business as an employer that cares about the health and well-being of its employees and the community at large; second, it gives your employees an excellent opportunity to get involved in the community.

Throughout the Summer
Community Yoga Classes
With rising costs of living in the Bay Area and because many yoga instructors believe in the benefits of yoga, some yoga studios and instructors offer free or donation-based classes to the general public. Practicing yoga has many benefits, including increased flexibility and muscle strength as well as improved balance and cardiovascular health. Yoga also enhances focus, increases happiness, improves sleep quality, and builds self-confidence and self-awareness.
Find a Famers Market
Farmers markets pop up all over the Bay Area during the summer months. In addition to getting fresh and flavorful produce, shopping at a farmers market allows consumers to support local family farmers, protect the environment from excessive food packaging and transportation waste, and promote the humane treatment of animals and workers. Find a market close to your business, or encourage employees to find one close to their homes.
