A Beautiful Friendship

At Canopy Health, we recognize the dynamic and vital skillset that insurance brokers possess as well as the value that they provide to the healthcare industry. That’s why we are interested in contracting with brokers throughout California to provide effective and convenient care for all of our members.

We know that brokers are able to provide their clients with numerous options and a unique perspective on the marketplace, and these qualities align closely with what we plan to accomplish at Canopy Health. Furthermore, we especially invite those brokerages who are best equipped to assist small- and medium-sized business owners to explore all that we have to offer.

A company’s choice of healthcare network is one of the clearest differentiators in how they care for their employees, and it’s also one prominent way they can separate themselves from the competition when pursuing quality new hires. Meanwhile, existing employees are more likely to remain with an employer who values them and demonstrates as much by meeting their healthcare needs.

All of this makes choosing a provider on an employer’s behalf a significant responsibility. These executives and their entire workforce are counting on you to make sound choices, which means your work goes far beyond finding the cheapest premiums. When asked about the most important elements of a healthcare plan, employees frequently cite qualities that include the breadth and accessibility of the network, the convenience and quality of care offered, and a wide variety of options they can draw from when choosing their primary care physicians and specialists.

At Canopy Health, we have a massive network of hospitals, outpatient facilities, and physicians — nearly 5,000 — who provide excellent care as well as unrivaled convenience and accessibility. Currently, we are partnered with Health Net of California’s Blue & Gold Plan through Hill Physician’s Medical Group (a Canopy affiliate) to provide UCSF employees with discounted rates and help them avoid unforeseen costs this year. We are also exploring partnerships with numerous other plans in 2017.

Our current affiliates include Hill Physicians Medical Group, Meritage Medical Network, and John Muir Physician Network, all of whom are working together under the Canopy umbrella to allow our members to access the best, most convenient options for their unique circumstances. Our dozens of affiliated medical facilities include world-class hospitals such as UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Sonoma Valley Hospital, and Marin General Hospital. In addition, our network includes thousands of other medical providers and specialists, allowing Canopy to provide all of our members with comprehensive coverage across a vast spectrum of health and wellness needs.

We are licensed to operate in eight counties throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, Sonoma, San Mateo, and Solano counties. Our initial HMO product lines offer primary care selection and care management programs through our alliance of medical groups and IPAs, granting our members comprehensive access to all of our physicians and facilities throughout the Bay Area.
