UnitedHealthcare SignatureValue Advantage

UnitedHealthcare is the largest healthcare company in the world by revenue, with a reported $184 billion in 2016. The company serves more than 100 million individuals worldwide. Its mission is to help people live healthier lives through a connected and aligned system that is both affordable and effective.

UnitedHealthcare also acknowledges the challenges that traits such as race, ethnicity, language, and disability cause in obtaining meaningful healthcare. To combat these inequalities, it created the Health Equity Services Program (HHES) to help uncover and reduce health disparities. The HHES program has four main elements:

  • Collecting data to understand their members’ collective and individual cultural makeup
  • Discovering gaps in health and care
  • Improving their approach to their members based on key demographics
  • Working with different cultures to improve everyone’s healthcare experience

Additionally, this approach reflects Canopy Health’s approach towards human-focused healthcare.

This year, Canopy Health is offering access to our network through UnitedHealthcare SignatureValue Advantage plans. These plans offer the excellent coverage associated with traditional UnitedHealthcare HMO plans, but with lower premiums. Additionally, SignatureValue Advantage focuses on preventive health screenings, childhood immunizations, and member satisfaction, which are hallmarks of the Canopy Health network.
