Canopy Health believes the entire Bay Area deserves high-quality, accessible, and transparent healthcare. As a physician and hospital-owned healthcare alliance, our members’ wellness is paramount, and we work to express our values in every interaction with brokers, employers, physicians, and members.

Our hospitals harness the Bay Area’s drive for innovation and technology, offering our members access to cutting-edge treatment options.
Canopy Health’s network of primary care physicians and other medical providers is equally robust. It includes highly educated and world-renowned physicians that serve our members in their local communities. Our physicians reflect the diversity of the Bay Area and aim to reach underserved communities.
Access to Local Medical Care
We understand that our members don’t just need access to high-profile specialists that are miles away. Many Bay Area residents have challenging commutes or rely on mass transit for their transportation needs. Therefore, proximity to medical care matters. Canopy Health serves members in eight counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma) and its alliance includes exceptional medical providers throughout.
Our commitment to accessible, high-quality care was the primary reason that Canopy Health recently added Good Samaritan Hospital, the Regional Medical Center of San Jose, and Sequoia Hospital to its alliance in the winter of 2018. These additions will allow our members to access a larger number of specialists and clinicians in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
Transparent Medical Costs for Our Members
At Canopy Health, transparency is one of our fundamental values. We believe that our members deserve a clear understanding of their out-of-pocket costs at every stage of their healthcare journey. We are strong advocates for improving healthcare literacy, with the goal of empowering employers and members to make educated healthcare decisions. Canopy Health is also developing cost estimation tools that will help members understand the expenses related to their medical services and treatment plans, as well as an interactive mobile app and member portal.
Diverse, Cost-Effective Plan Options From Our Carrier Partners
Our healthcare carrier partners offer a wide variety of small and large group, employment-based plans. Our 2018 carrier partners include:
- UnitedHealthcare (SignatureValue Advantage)
- Health Net (SmartCare)
Depending on an employer’s needs, workforce, and goals, there are multiple premium, deductible, co-payment, and co-insurance structures available. Our goal is to deliver exceptional care with fair and transparent pricing, regardless of which coverage option our clients choose.
