Canopy Health is growing! We’re excited to offer our members an even broader network with more physicians, hospitals, and care centers in more Bay Area counties. Our expansion reflects the growing needs of our members and our dedication to high-quality healthcare.

Canopy Health’s Expansion Improves Your Access to Care

The Bay Area is constantly changing and growing. According to some statistics, our region is growing faster than both the national and state average. As our communities grow, many of us find our commutes getting longer, making it difficult to balance our healthcare needs with our work and personal obligations. This is particularly true if you’re headed to or from Silicon Valley.

At Canopy Health, we listen to our members. We were founded by Bay Area healthcare providers, and we understand the challenges they face â€” especially regarding access to great care. To meet our members’ needs, we have expanded our impressive network of physicians, hospitals, urgent care centers, and other facilities to include Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Regional Medical Center of San Jose, and SCCIPA.

With these additions, we now have a presence in San Mateo County and expanded offerings in Santa Clara County. This allows our members numerous healthcare options. Because they can now choose from roughly 5,000 physicians, 18 hospitals, and numerous urgent care and outpatient facilities, they have access to exceptional healthcare no matter where they live, work, or play in the Bay Area.

Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital

Located in Redwood City, Sequoia Hospital has earned a reputation for high quality, advanced healthcare. It boasts award-winning cardiac, joint replacement, and stroke programs, as well as one of the country’s highest survival rates for heart valve replacements. Additionally, its birth center is one of the most popular in San Mateo County. Named one of America’s Top 50 Hospitals for cardiac surgery in 2018, Sequoia Hospital embraces advanced technologies that improve patient outcomes and lessen recovery periods.

Good Samaritan Hospital

Good Samaritan Hospital has served Santa Clara County for over 50 years. Its facilities include a Comprehensive Stroke Center, award-winning cancer and surgical programs, inpatient rehabilitation care, one of the Bay Area’s most popular birth centers, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). It is only one of three hospitals nationwide to receive five consecutive Outstanding Achievement Awards from the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer.

Regional Medical Center of San Jose

Along with Good Samaritan Hospital, the Regional Medical Center of San Jose plays an important role in the health and wellness of residents throughout Santa Clara County and surrounding counties. Its cardiac, trauma, stroke, and pulmonary programs are recognized for their quality and patient outcomes. In 2017 alone, the hospital was named among Healthgrades 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, Coronary Intervention, and General Surgery.

In 2014, Regional Medical Center completed a $330 million renovation and expansion, which includes a new four-story hospital tower and cutting-edge technologies that allow for improved diagnosis, minimally invasive treatments, and improved healthcare services.

SCCIPA

The Santa Clara County Individual Practice Association (SCCIPA) is a network of more than 280 primary care physicians, 550 specialists, and other healthcare providers. Canopy Health members can seek treatment with any of these high-quality physicians located throughout Santa Clara County. SCCIPA’s physician network also reflects Santa Clara County’s growing diversity and offers healthcare services in 33 languages, including Hindi, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
